Love is Everything to Me.

Hello! I am so excited you are here!

If you are curious as to who I am, the short version is this: my great loves in life are my devastatingly handsome & witty husband, my cuddly dog Gunnar, the perfect (if not elusive) iTunes playlist, J.Crew, sarcasm, exclamation points and above all God.

If you want to know a little more about me or ask how to say my incredibly German last name, click on the Hello tab above or feel free to send me an email with questions, virtual hugs or professions of your undying love (I don't judge). I would love to hear from you.

Things I Love: WPPI

February 19, 2011

Tomorrow begins (my) second annual trek to WPPI to partake in all things photography, friendship and late night dance parties. If you are going to be there, I would love, love, love to connect with you! If you see me, please come say hi; I’ll be the red-head who’s laughter you can hear across a room. if you are not, you can follow my shenanigans on Twitter.

Once upon a time there was a handsome-never-been-sick-in-his-whole-life-might-as-well-be-a-viking prince who was introduced to a gorgeous-stylish-and-equally-healthy princess. He knew from the first time they met that she was the one he wanted to marry and while it took her a tiny bit longer to figure out that he was her forever, once she did there was no turning back. They made a promise to love each other forever and a day and made a house their home, adding an adorably snaggle-toothed little pup along the way. And now? Their lives are about to get exciting (and decidedly less healthy) as they prepare to welcome Baby Brue to their lives, home and hearts. Their story isn’t over, rather it is just beginning; stay tuned.

Faithers & MB, thanks for doing the baby thing first. Take notes for us. xoxo PS – love you guys. PPS – if your child actually does turn out to be a superhero, I claim naming rights. Thinking something like Superbaby or MegaBaby. I’m original like that.

PPPS. Matt’s amazing, amazing motion & picture company Capture Studios is hiring interns for the summer. If you like Punch Pizza, working hard and hanging out with some of the most fun people in the state? This just might be the thing for you.

He took the hand that hung delicately between them and kissed her palm softly, her eyes were drawn to him as she smiled with her whole being. Her eyes, her mouth, her cheeks, even her nose were affected by her smile that can change moods, change minds and even change entire rooms. Theirs was a subtle but wholly powerful love; one that reached out and filled an entire library hall with it’s dedication and heart. It was fitting that they chose a library as their wedding venue because their love was as moving as the love you read about in fairy tales and love stories but no dragons were slain and no evil stepmom lurked; it was just them, a gorgeous room filled with their love and a crowd of friends and family who believed in them.

Lauren & Mike, I looked forward to your wedding for the better part of a year. I knew, more than anything, I would be privileged to watch two people I admired and whole-heart adore give themselves to each other and nothing would be more beautiful on that day. You didn’t let me down. A stunning wedding for two stunning people; there is no other place I would have wanted to be. Congratulations! I can’t wait for more (married!) dates of noodles and foodie delights. St. Paul represent. xoxo

There are those things in life that just work for no reason other than that they fit perfectly together. Things that just work; items and people (and retail locations) that nature intended to be lifelong partners. Peanut butter & jelly. Navy nautical stripes & Honeysuckle. Me & J.Crew. And now and forever? Lindsay & Joe.

During the reception Lindsay’s best friend gave a beautiful toast where she spoke about how Lindsay and Joe have never lived life in a small way. Example? They fly to Paris to get married and within the same month they purchase a home and decide to host a reception leaving only a few short weeks to renovate, move and decorate for the holidays. Oh, yeah. And plan a reception. BigHUGEbig, yes? Both are also Partners at Fredrickson & Byron, active philathropists, fiercely fashionable and community award winners; oh, and in her limited spare time, Lindsay has developed and patented the technology behind her company, Boottique. I can’t tell you for sure, but I’m convinced that they do more in their sleep than I can do in an entire day. And I love them for that.

A heartfelt xoxo to you both and best wishes on an amazing marriage and life journey. Wherever life leads you? I know it will be BIG.
