Amy & Nick | Saint Paul Wedding Photography
I have this thing for the spring season. A big thing. A big heart pounding the-earth-is-alive-again-and-winter-is-gone type of thing.
When you live in a location where almost 5 months out of the year are spent under a thick layer of snow & ice, there is something so gosh darn euphoric that happens to an entire city when the trees start sprouting these neon green leaves and the tulips start popping their little heads out of the ground like the survivors they are. For me, it’s the season that I start plotting how to steal lilac blooms from the neighbors but that is a different story for a different day. (Sorry neighbors, I love you. And your lilacs.)
Enter Amy & Nick’s wedding day, which might go down as the most beautiful spring day in the history of spring days, and it’s just another reason to make spring your favorite season. Two gorgeous and hilarious people. One wedding party willing to do whatever I asked of them (I can dig). Garlands on garlands. And a monster lilac bush legitimately on the side of a busy road (anything for a photo, people). It was a perfect day and I’m so excited to share this one with you.
Amy & Nick. It’s no surprise that your wedding day was a beauty because what an immense joy you both are to be around. Thank you for trusting me when I said I knew where the perfect lilac bush was, letting me be a part of your family for a day and for allowing me to document your exquisite love over and over. Minneapolis is getting the best gift by having you back in town. xo
